TRAINED AND CERTIFIED IN THE NATIONAL CREDIT ACT AND NCR PRESCRIBED DEBT COUNSELLING REGULATIONS AND PROCESSES (DAMELIN)
Who is the National Credit Resolution Agency?
The "Crew" comprising the NCRA has been engaged in consumer credit bureau resolution service since 2007 at the inception of the National Credit Act (16 years ago).
When debt counselling was introduced, it was a beautiful concept (it still is) and nobody exepected that it will transform into a life destroying monster for hundreds of thousands of consumers. And no, it is not the concept that became a monster, but some unethical officials who have been entrusted to conduct the service burned the regulation books and practiced their own schemes to lure the consumers into debt review without any intention to deliver the intended service and left them to suffer a never ending nightmare.
The monster started showing its head in 2015 when for some dillusional and selfserving reasons, the cancellation of debt review was disallowed by scrapping Form 17.4 and replacing it with 17.w. This replacement was intentional punishment directed to all consumers based on the groundless assumption that all consumers take advantage of the debt review service only to avoid legal action and then cancel it. The 17.w is like locking the consumer under debt review and throwing the keys at the bottom of the sea.
As the problem of consumers who are stuck under debt reveiw escalated to pandamedic proportions, in 2019 the crew decided to enrol for a debt counselling course to research and gain first hand knowledge of the debt review regulations, processes and procedures and find a resolution for the consumers who are unlawfully stuck under debt review.
One thing became clear, the National Credit Regulator (NCR) is aware of the scrouge of unscrupolous debt counsellors and for that they have established an investigation department to resolve disputes of unlawful debt counselling practices in terms of Section 136 of the Nca. This dispute process offers the uninformed consumers the opportunity to appoint a third party respresentation in terms of Section 136 Regulation 50 of the act.
NCRA is dedicated to assist the consumers enact their rights to dispute unlawful debt review in terms of Section 136 Regulation 50 of the Nca.
